Commissioned by the City of Ettelbruck, Lea Schroeder Studio brought Gucki to life, transforming drawings submitted by local children during a creative competition into a playful and recognisable mascot.

Designed to encourage safer, more independent journeys to school, Gucki appears as colourful pavement markings along designated walking routes, helping primary school children find their way through the city. The character also comes to life as a full-size costume mascot, welcoming and guiding children during educational activities and community events.

Combining children's imagination, illustration, and civic engagement, the project demonstrates how thoughtful design can turn an everyday journey into a joyful experience.
